Too many evangelicals voted for Jimmy Carter, just because he taught a Sunday school class. This is called identity politics. It is wrong when liberals do it. It is wrong when conservatives do it. People should pay more attention to policy, competency, accomplishment, and electability than someone who wears his religion on his sleeves.
